“It’s a numbers game”

It’s human nature to want to quantify results. How many follicles do you have? How many eggs did you freeze? You won't find any quantifiable data here. Yes, there are countless statistics out there - but ultimately, it only takes one to make a baby. Our bodies can do pretty miraculous things, you are not a statistic - and there is always an exception to the rule!

Before you dive into this process, understand that you can’t compare yourself to anyone else. A number that may sound small to one person could be a pretty amazing outcome for someone like me. Fertility is one of the most emotional subjects out there - so please always be sensitive when discussing with someone else. Most importantly, be kind to yourself and remain optimistic!

Unless you’re chatting with your family or partner about it, I think a good rule of thumb is to avoid talking about egg count/follicle count at all costs. Comparing yourself to someone else is a shitty feeling in general—and when you’re talking about fertility, that feeling is multiplied by 100.
